                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF
                   PROJECT NO. P-1-91, BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT
                   RESURFACING, TO C. W. MATTHEWS CONTRACTING
                   COMPANY, INC., FOR THEIR LOW BID IN THE
                   AMOUNT OF NINE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND ONE
                   HUNDRED THIRTEEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       award of Project No. P-1-91, Bituminous Pavement Resurfacing, to
       C. W. Matthews Contracting Company, Inc. for their low bid in the 

       amount of $906,113.00.
